American Family again makes Forbes best employers for diversity list

For the third year in a row, American Family Insurance has made the list of 500 companies on the Forbes Best Employers for Diversity. Forbes ranked companies of more than 1,000 people, like American Family, based on feedback from at least 100 employees, regarding numerous facets of diversity at the companies. For 2020, the company ranked 331.

Other factors, such as the number of women on a company’s board of directors, the existence of a designated department or leaders responsible for diversity programs and having communications about diversity also impacted the ranking.

“We’re proud we continue to receive these recognitions. We’re even prouder of our employees, who make it possible,” said Tyler Whipple, vice president of inclusive excellence, the area leading the company’s diversity efforts. “Given our current circumstances, it’s critical that all our employees feel included and connected. We remain fully committed to an inclusive workplace where diversity is embraced, and everyone feels a sense of belonging.”
